Introduction

UNS designations C87300 to C87900 are cast silicon brasses and bronzes. Copper UNS C87400 is a silicon brass cast alloy. Silicon brasses are high strength brasses that are solid solution strengthened. The cast silicon brasses possess very good aqueous and atmospheric corrosion resistance.
