Introduction
Titanium alloys are light weight metals with excellent corrosion resistance, very high tensile strength and high toughness. They are also durable. Grade Ti-16V-2.5Al alloy is a metastable beta alloy that is age-hardenable.

Fabrication and Heat Treatment
Annealing
Grade Ti-16V-2.5Al alloy is duplex annealed at 760°C (1400°F) for 30 min, followed by air cooling. The process is repeated at + 525°C (977°F) for 4 to 6 h and then air cooled.

Grade Ti-16V-2.5Al alloy is used in the following application areas:
