Introduction

Inconel is a group of austenitic nickel-chromium-based super alloys produced by Special Metals Corporation. Super alloys are referred to as high performance alloys that function well in environments with elevated temperatures.

Super alloy INCONEL C-276 has high molybdenum content which provides the material with localized corrosion resistance like pitting. This alloy is generally known for corrosion resistance in a wide range of aggressive media. The low carbon content in this alloy helps to reduce carbide precipitation while performing welding.

The following section explains in detail about super alloy INCONEL C-276.
