Arizona Chemical to Close Piscayune Plant

Arizona Chemical have announced that they will close their plant in Piscayune. Operations from the plant will cease in the first quarter of 2005.

Production from the plant will be transferred to their plants at Dover in Ohio and Panama City in Florida. They will try to ensure a smooth transition for their customers.

The site will be stripped of usable equipment which will be taken to other sites. Remaining equipment will be demolished, while office blocks will be left in tact before the sale of the property.

Arizona Chemical manufacture pine chemicals for adhesives, inks and coatings.
