Hydro Signs 3 Year Aluminium Heat Exchanger Tube Deal

Non-automotive aluminium HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) heat exchangers, traditionally made from copper tubing, stand to benefit from the introduction of aluminium in the three-year deal, which is expected to generate breakthroughs for aluminium tubing and promote the introduction of unique aluminium solutions into new markets.

Hydro and Heatcraft will jointly explore technical innovations and joint marketing activities. Heatcraft is an established leader in the HVAC heat exchanger market and is committed to advancing the use of aluminium with Hydro. In return, Hydro will gain supply opportunities for Precision Tubing, which is a business unit in Hydro Aluminium's Automotive business sector.
