Biopolymers Symposium becomes Zero Carbon Event

IntertechPira has teamed up with Carbonfund.org to create a zero-carbon event. Carbonfund.org has calculated the emissions associated with the 2009 Biopolymers Symposium and is offsetting those emissions to make the event carbon neutral by supporting energy efficiency, renewable energy and reforestation projects.

Biopolymers 2009 is even bigger and better than last year, with a three track two-day plenary session, the Retailers Scorecard Seminar on September 28th and the EcoLabeling Summit to take place October 1st, Biopolymers Symposium 2009 has something to offer everyone. And, now Biopolymers is offering its attendees peace of mind by providing a carbon neutral event.

Gain information on speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, workshops and more by viewing the Biopolymers Interactive Brochure or visiting www.biopolymersummit.com and learn more about making the event carbon neutral by visiting www.carbonfund.org.

"As part of IntertechPira's efforts to host more sustainable events, we're excited to have the CarbonFund.org on board as a sponsor for the carbon offsets related to the event," says Barbara Rojas, Conference Producer, IntertechPira. "It only makes sense that Biopolymers & Ecolabeling will be carbon neutral because of the nature of the topics, as both our speakers and delegates seriously care for their carbon footprint."

Convention attendees are also able to offset the emissions relating to their air travel by visiting www.biopolymersummit.com and using the calculator provided by CarbonFund.org. All of CarbonFund.org projects are independently verified to the highest certification standards. The nonprofit organization provides an array of individual and business offsetting options.
