Electronic contract manufacturer, Sunburst Electronics (Erie, Pa.), reports that Composiflex, a global supplier of highly-engineered composite products, has selected Sunburst as its strategic partner to offer industry-first, technology/service solutions to the aerospace and military electronics sectors.
The alliance, cemented via a formal memorandum of understanding, provides a valuable single-source option for electronics equipment manufacturers seeking the benefits of complete sub-assemblies, including light-weight, composite enclosures and electronic componentry.
"Composiflex offers nearly a quarter century of experience in composites materials, design and manufacturing; and we are excited to respond to customer requests for more integrated solutions by entering this partnership. We expect Sunburst Electronics' added-value, along with our internal expertise, to accelerate our growth in military electronics, avionics and other markets," said Marty Matthews, Composiflex sales & marketing executive.
Said John Cline, president and CEO of Sunburst Electronics, "As a result of this alliance, both Composiflex and Sunburst are now able to accomplish a level of technology and service not yet seen in the aerospace manufacturing marketplace by offering both existing and emerging-technology aerospace programs with a one-stop solution for product manufacturing requirements. This new partnership complements Sunburst Electronics' extensive aerospace manufacturing legacy."
Ease of project collaboration will be facilitated by the two companies' locations, only ten miles apart. Kicking off their new partnership, Composiflex and Sunburst Electronics will exhibit at MILCOM 2009, slated for October 18 - 21, at the World Trade Center in Boston, Mass.
