CRU World Aluminium Conference to Ponder Hot Topics Facing the Aluminium Industry

The CRU World Aluminium Conference in Oslo on June 22-23 will ponder hot topics facing the aluminium industry. Speakers include several from Hydro: President and CEO Svein Richard Brandtzæg; Arvid Moss, head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development; Hans-Joachim Kock, head of Extruded Products; and Kjetil Ebbesberg, head of Metal Markets.

The Norwegian minister of Trade and Industry, Trond Giske, will open the conference. He will be followed by key speakers from Hydro, Rusal and Alcoa, in addition to analysts and other experts keeping a close eye on the aluminium industry.

Visit to Sunndal plant

CRU is a business analysis and consultancy group focused on the mining, metals, power, cables, fertilizer, and chemical sectors. The company has been a central point of contact for Hydro when forecasting future market developments. The CRU conference is an annual meeting place for analysts, investors, customers, and aluminium producers.

This year Hydro is the main sponsor. The program kicks off with a visit to Hydro’s primary production plant in Sunndal on June 21. About 250 people are expected to take part in the conference, and about 40 will come to Sunndal.
