Nova Chemicals and BASF Enter into Styrene Supply Agreement

BASF and Nova Chemical have signed a long term styrene monomer supply contract.

Under the terms of the contract Nova will supply BASF’s downstream styrene business in the NAFTA region with styrene monomer. Similarly, BASF will supply Nova’s European downstream styrene business with monomoer.

The agreement gives both companies a low cost monomer supply for their respective solid and expanded polystyrene businesses helping them both to become more cost competitive.

Supply will be generated from existing facilities.
