Precast Concrete Product Manufacturer Launches New Division

Jensen Precast, one of the largest U.S. owned and operated manufacturers of precast concrete products, including utility vaults for electric, fiber optic, gas, telecommunications, and water infrastructure, announced yesterday it has launched Jensen MetalTech, a division of the company that engineers and manufactures steel and aluminum access hatches, doors, covers, and grates for subsurface utility enclosures.

"Jensen MetalTech provides our customers with industry leading engineering designs and load testing that insures maximum service life, and minimal problems," Eric Jensen, Chief Marketing Officer, said.

Jensen MetalTech is an approved manufacturer of steel and aluminum access doors, grates, hatches and utility structures for a number of agencies, including the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), Tucson Electric Power, Trico Electric Cooperative, NV Energy (Formerly Sierra Pacific Power Company), Southern California Edison, Sprint, and Verizon.

In addition to their vast array of standard products and sizes, Jensen MetalTech can custom build hatches or access covers to any specified design or load requirement. Some common applications for hatches and covers include electric distribution & transmission pullboxes, manholes, trenches and vault covers, telecom and fiber optic pullboxes, manholes and vault covers, water meter vault access covers, pressure reducing station access hatches, backflow preventer vault covers, fire service vault access hatches, natural gas distribution vault hatch covers, steam trench covers, and pump and lift station access hatches with safety grates and spring assist doors in either aluminum, steel, or galvanized material.
