In decoupled pulleys, NORGLIDE® bearings offer the benefits of reduced friction, maintenance-free operation and noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) improvements. Compared to other metal-polymer based bearing designs that act like a metal, NORGLIDE® bearings have a much thicker polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) layer so the entire component acts like a plastic material and this is what allows the reduction in NVH.
