Russel Metals to Buy Metals USA Milwaukee Operation

Russell Metals today announced that they have agreed to purchase the assets of Metals USA Plates and Shapes Northcentral, located in Milwaukee, USA. The purchase price is approximately $8.3 million and the deal is expected to be completed by September 9.

The Metals USA plant processes and distributes carbon steel plate, bar and structural products. It was formerly Williams Steel and Supply Co.

The acquisition will enhance Russel Metal’s position in the market place, in particular as a steel service center.
