The company has received free land use rights and its carbon fiber composite material project would cover 300,000 sq.m. BEFUT expects to manufacture 100,000 km of high-pressure carbon fiber composite wire annually. Once the facility is functioning at full capacity, the production would equate to more than $1.5 billion.

Carbon fiber is a light material and has good electrical conductivity. Demand for such material has increased considerably in China.

The Puwan New Area economic zone covers 1045.6 km and is located near the Dalian port. It has been created to foster technology innovation, research and development.
