EMSL Analytical, a leading materials testing laboratory with more than 39 locations across the U.S. and Canada, has expanded its Charlotte, North Carolina laboratory space by shifting to a new location that lies between Interstate 485 and Interstate 77.
The lab offers asbestos, lead, mold and indoor air quality testing services to inspection professionals and government, health & safety and environmental agencies present across the globe. At present, the Charlotte laboratory is also taking initiative to add metals testing capabilities. As EMSL has shown tremendous growth in the area since its establishment, the move has been necessary for the operation.
EMSL’s laboratory has been certified by the State of Virginia Bureau of Public Health, Commonwealth of Virginia, NVLAP for TEM Air and PLM Bulk and AIHA EMLAP. The facility also joins the AIHA IHPAT and AIHA EMPAT proficiency testing programs.
EMSL operates 22 combined AIHA EMLAP/A2LA Environmental Microbiology Accredited laboratories and 32 NVLAP accredited asbestos testing laboratories. The organization exceeds the NVLAP requirements related to quality and it has been the top asbestos testing laboratory in the U.S. for more than 30 years. EMSL’s lab includes thermal imaging cameras, IAQ investigative equipment, a broad range of sampling products and other accessories.
