PSI Metals, a provider of production management solutions to the metals industry, has received an order for PSImetals software solution from NLMK’s subsidiary KSIEMP.
The solution will be used by KSIEMP as a manufacturing execution system (MES) at its new facility located in Vorsino, Kaluga, Russia. The PSImetals production management solution helps non-ferrous metals and steel manufacturers to achieve high quality and on-time delivery of orders from their customers.
PSI Metals will deliver its production management system along with varying components, which include PSImetals Production & Quality, PSImetals Logistics and PSImetals Energy. The PSImetals Energy component offers broad and efficient energy management and PSImetals Logistics provides materials and transportation logistics support from the time the pre-products are delivered. PSImetals Production & Quality assures high quality and adherence to delivery targets for the rolling and steel mills. The new order supports PSI to further expand is position in the Russian market.
NLMK is one of the leading steel companies in Russia and it manufactures and distributes flat steel and long steel products to over 70 countries. KSIEMP’s new facility constructed for production of long-steel products includes an electric-steel plant installed with a rolling mill and an eight-line casting instrument. The Vorsino-based plant has a capacity to produce 1.5 Mt of long products per year.
