The annual results of the Industry Sales Survey published by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute shows a 2.7% increase in the total US paver sales and a 7% increase from 2010 to 2011 in Canadian paver sales. The municipal/commercial market symbolizes 21.3% and residential sales is 78.7% of the total sales.
There has been a steady increase over the last three years in permeable pavement sales with a growth from 3.8% to 5.1% from 2009 to 2011 signifying under 30 million sf. 78.4% and 21.6% permeable pavement sales were placed in commercial and residential applications, respectively.
The industry sales survey by ICPI provides highly accurate and up-to-date sales information for the North American segmental concrete pavement industry. The survey data pertains to products, which conform to standards set by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
2011 sales data is reported in the 2012 survey from 69 concrete paver companies and determines annual paver sales from a same respondent sample to the world of paver manufacturers. Industry Insights, a professional service survey firm specializing in professional and trade organizations, conducted the survey.
The whole set of survey results, which include sales data for the North American segmental retailing and concrete masonry wall industries is presently available.
