Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton will use bauma 2013 to showcase its latest construction and mining technology specifically designed for severe-duty applications.
As the mobile industry seeks to make productivity gains and optimize machines for uptime and operator comfort, bauma attendees will find matching Eaton solutions at stand B4.211A. The stand will feature Eaton’s hydraulic products and filtration products from the Internormen™ product line – including its extensive industrial and hydraulic hose portfolio, which has become even more comprehensive since Eaton acquired Polimer/SEL.
Visitors to the Eaton stand will also see complete and reliable system solutions for excavators, wheel loaders and drill rigs. These solutions are designed to support higher productivity, operational cost savings, increase equipment uptime and energy efficiency.

Serviceability highlights: Guardian Seal and LifeSense
Among bauma highlights are Eaton’s LifeSense®, a breakthrough technology for real-time, condition-based, hydraulic hose monitoring, and Guardian Seal™, a new nickel-free plating technology dramatically improving corrosion protection.
Eaton is pleased to introduce its new corrosion resistant Guardian Seal™ plating technology on carbon steel Walterscheid™ tube fittings. With Guardian Seal™, Walterscheid™ tube fittings meet the need for higher corrosion protection that is required in the most challenging environments. Guardian Seal™ has been proven to prevent white corrosion to a minimum of 240 hours and red corrosion to a minimum of 720 hours. As a result, Guardian Seal™ allows Walterscheid™ tube fittings to exceed the SAE corrosion resistance requirements of 96 hours to red corrosion and meet the more stringent European VDMA 24576-K5 requirements of 720 hours to red corrosion.
LifeSense® technology is a patented hydraulic hose condition monitoring and notification system that monitors the health of hydraulic hose assemblies in real time. It detects internal fatigue, as well as external damage, and provides advanced notification if the hose is approaching the end of its useful life.
