Ceram's Environmental Management System Awarded ISO 14001 Certification

Ceram, the international materials development and testing company, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded ISO 14001 certification of its Environmental Management System (EMS).

Liz Thompson, Technical Consultant – Sustainability, at Ceram, says:

“We’re extremely proud to have achieved certification in only 15 months. As a business, we’re committed to reducing our impact on the environment and having an Environmental Management System in place is not only helping us to do this, it’s also allowing us to make continuous improvements to our systems and procedures. And improving our performance doesn’t just benefit us, it benefits our customers too.

“What’s more, we want to share what we’ve learnt about implementing an EMS by helping our customers to do the same. Having recent hands-on, practical experience of putting together an EMS means that we are well equipped to help them set up the procedures to ensure that their system is robust and benefits their business.”

Ceram’s EMS consultancy service forms part of its Resource Efficiency offering – helping clients manage resources (materials, energy, emissions, water and waste) efficiently, in order to drive cost reduction, limit their environmental impact and increase profitability.
