DuPont Exhibits Innovative Products at Chinaplas 2013

Plastics that can reduce vehicle component weight and plastics that can be used for safer consumer electronic devices highlight DuPont Performance Polymers presence at Chinaplas 27th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, which opens today.

DuPont Performance Polymers has been active in China for nearly 3 decades and plans to expand its DuPont Shanghai research and development center later this year, further enhancing its collaboration and application-development capabilities. The DuPont Shanghai research and development center is one of several development facilities in China.

In the Chinaplas booth – Hall 11.2 Booth A21– DuPont will present:

  • Lightweighting materials with long-term thermal and chemical resistance to replace metals in automotive programs that improve engine efficiency, lower emissions and improve fuel economy.
  • Advanced materials, such as a new family of renewably sourced Zytel® long-chain polyamide resins, can reduce dependence on fossil fuels. New Zytel® halogen-free resins with enhanced thermal ageing properties complement DuPont’s broad portfolio of halogen-free resins designed to address industry requirements, especially to 3C industry.
  • Consumer electronics materials, such as renewably sourced Zytel® RS HTN, can be used for thinner, lighter handheld device housings. Zytel® NHFR halogen-free fire retardant material offers a cleaner, more effective solution for this industry. DuPont will also display examples, including LED lighting and wire and cable applications.
