BASF Innovations for Radiation Curing at RadTech Europe 2005

From October 18 through 20, BASF is presenting innovative products and technologies for radiation curing at RadTech Europe 2005 in Barcelona, Spain.

Laromer® LR 9000 combines the advantages of radiation curing and the benefits of polyisocyanates. This new dual-cure resin from BASF has excellent adhesion to different substrates and extremely low extraction values. It has a variety of applications, ranging from coatings for plastics and wood-based materials as well as screen printing.

We are helping our customers to become more successful with our new software for calculating the optimum pigmentation of UV coatings. BASF’s UV-SIM-TOOL is a computer program for simulating different pigmentations in relation to numerous parameters such as pigment concentration, coating thickness and hiding power. On the stand at the trade fair, interested visitors will be able to try out this innovative software themselves and simulate practical pigmentation problems.

An outstanding set of properties characterizes Laromer® LR 9013. The impressive features of this radiation-curable dispersing resin for pigmented UV coatings and UV printing inks are its excellent pigment wetting, good printing and flow properties as well as outstanding ink/water balance for high-quality printing results.
