H.C. Starck Launches ‘Tantalum in Anti-Corrosion Applications’ Symposium

H.C. Starck is pleased to announce the launch of a new technical symposium dedicated to the application of tantalum in the chemical processing industry.

The “Tantalum in Anti-Corrosion Applications” (TaCORR) symposium will be held at the Hotel Contessa in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, March 10th from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Speakers from various segments of the chemical industry will present technical information, case studies, real life success and failure stories, and will explore novel applications in the world of chemical corrosion. Who should attend? Manufacturers from the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and mining industries, fabricators, engineering companies and others who want to network and exchange ideas, experiences, and learn about the latest developments in new tantalum alloys and applications from industry experts.

“This is an ideal opportunity to share tantalum technical knowledge among corrosion professionals. Tantalum alloys, when properly used, offer an extremely reliable solution in anti-corrosion applications. Moreover, they can expand a manufacturers‘ process window, enable higher process yields, and drastically reduce maintenance costs,” says François Dary, Vice President Global Research and Development of H.C. Starck’s Fabricated Business Segment.

Program details will follow soon outlining the symposium speakers and topics, so make sure to visit www.hcstarck.com/tacorr for more information. Event venue is the Hotel Contessa Luxury Suites on the Riverwalk, 306 West Market Street, San Antonio, Texas 78205.
