AMPM2018—Metal Additive Manufacturing Conference Program Launches

The program for the fifth annual Additive Manufacturing (AM) with Powder Metallurgy (PM) conference, AMPM2018, is available online and registration is now open. Featuring worldwide industry experts presenting on the latest developments in the fast-growing field of metal additive manufacturing, the conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, Texas, June 17–20, 2018. Registration is open at AMPM2018.org.

Over the last several years, with the help of the AMPM Program Committee, Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy conferences have become known for their technical programming that focuses on the latest in R&D while attempting to filter commercial content. The conference also hosts a 100+ exhibitor trade show in conjunction with POWDERMET2018: International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials and leading AMPM industry networking events. This year, AMPM2018 promises even more opportunities for education and networking.

Exciting Changes for AMPM2018

  • An entire extra day of technical programming
  • Access to the co-located POWDERMET2018 conference and digital post-conference proceedings
  • Extended exhibit hall hours
  • Student poster sessions that allow students to present their work
  • A PM Evening Alehouse in the open exhibit hall for extended exhibitor networking
  • Full conference registration now includes the Closing Event—Boots and Blue Jeans: A Texas BBQ

Continuing features from last year’s conference include the return of the AM/PM Café and the Exhibitor Game Card program, which gives attendees a chance to win up to $500.

“Metal additive manufacturing is the latest cutting-edge technology to impact the PM industry,” stated James P. Adams, executive director/CEO, Metal Powder Industries Federation. “Metal AM is a natural fit for MPIF as we have supported the PM industry for nearly 75 years. We’re excited to offer an expanded AMPM conference that allows for more time for the transfer of technology, and to expose the metal AM sector to the greater PM industry through access to both AMPM and POWDERMET conferences.”
