Ceramic Protection Corp Secure $1.1 Million Side Plate Order

Ceramic Protection Corporation announced today that it recently received an order for bonded alumina side plates from a U.S. based manufacturer of personnel armour systems. The order, having a value of CAD $1.1 million, will be delivered by the third quarter of 2006.

Alumina Side Plate Order

The Corporation has partnered with a U.S. based personnel armour manufacturer to develop ballistic vest systems which include the Corporation’s alumina side plates. The partnership and combined product development effort resulted in a product that provides superior value to the customer, as evidenced by the fact that the system was selected in a competitive bid process. The alumina plates will be manufactured at the Corporation’s Calgary location.

Mr. John Walsh, President of Ceramic Protection Corporation, commented: “This order exemplifies the Corporation’s ability to adapt and respond to the needs of our customers and the marketplace. In the recent past, the Corporation has made significant efforts to develop additional applications for Calgary products. This development partnership has resulted in an enhanced product for a growing requirement within the US Military and the Corporation plans to work with our partner to expand sales of this product to other customers.”
