Acheson Colloids Announces Advanced New Coating for Batteries and Supercapacitors

Acheson Colloids Company has developed Dag(R) EB-815, an advanced, highly conductive, chemical-resistant coating for batteries and electric double layer capacitors (EDLCs).

A one-component, solvent-based dispersion of semi-colloidal graphite in a thermoset binder, Dag EB-815 delivers a tenacious coating that provides battery electrode adhesion to the current collector, optimized conductivity and durability of the energy storage device. When properly diluted, this coating can be applied by brush or spray and cured above 260 degrees C (500 degrees F) to form an adherent coating.
