Ascensus Specialties today announced the appointment of Dr. Emma Sceats as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, succeeding Paul Burlingame, who will transition to an advisory role supporting the Board and leadership team.

Prior to joining Ascensus, Dr. Sceats served as SVP of Marketing, Sales & Customer Service at Abcam, where she was a member of the executive leadership team that supported the company's $5.7 billion acquisition by Danaher. She brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across life sciences, electronics and advanced materials.
