Rohm and Haas About to Start Work on Plastics Additives Plant in Turkey

Rohm and Haas recently announced that it has signed a letter of intent and is in the final planning discussions with POLISAN to construct a plastics additives acrylic impact modifier and processing aids manufacturing facility at the POLISAN site in Gebze, Turkey.

With this new facility we can focus on providing new product that has the efficiency, cost and performance that will fulfill the growing market needs in Turkey.”

Rohm and Haas is in an existing partnership with POLISAN in Turkey for the manufacturing of emulsions for the paint market. Working with POLISAN in this new partnership will allow the project to move ahead rapidly once the final agreements are concluded.

The proposed manufacturing facility is being planned with an eventual capacity of 40,000 MT, to respond to the growing demand for acrylic impact modifiers and processing aids from the plastics industry in the local domestic and neighboring markets. The production process will be designed following the Rohm and Haas high quality standards that are applied globally.
