ThyssenKrupp MinEnergy GmbH, Essen, a ThyssenKrupp Services AG company, has retroactively as of August 1, 2006, acquired a 61-percent stake in the Gelsenkirchen-based AT.PRO tec Technologie-Team GmbH.
This latter will in future continue its business from Essen under the name of ThyssenKrupp AT.PRO tec. The remaining stake is held by company management that will stay in this function.
Founded in 2000, AT.PRO tec specializes in consultancy, engineering and optimization of metallurgical production processes in metal industry. AT.PRO tec also markets a series of pan-European patented processes for upgrading furnace performance.
Meriting special mention is SIP (Sequence-Impulse-Technology). Resources efficiency increase during simultaneous operating cost lowering, a broad power spectrum as well as maximum flexibility of the processing are thereby the crucial arguments for the use of the SIP technology at kupol and shaft furnaces, which are already optimized with oxygen injection via special jets. The process is already being successfully used at a number of foundries. ThyssenKrupp AT.PRO tec is marketing the system worldwide.
