CERAM Expand into North America

CERAM is pleased to announce that it has signed a Marketing & Collaboration Agreement with The M&P Lab Inc in the USA. The Collaboration Agreement is underpinned by CERAM also acquiring a minority shareholding in the company.

The M&P Lab is a leading materials evaluation company in the USA providing complete laboratory services and an industrial materials consultancy. Its client base includes companies from the defence, aerospace, automotive and medical devices industries, as well as manufacturers of chemicals, high-tech metals, plastics, ceramics, pulp and paper, and structural composites.

The business was established as an independent company in 1986, and has its main operation in Schenectady, New York State, with a satellite operation in Greenville, South Carolina.

Neil Sanderson, the Chief Executive of CERAM, is highly delighted by this development. "CERAM is well known for its work in materials based industry sectors, but expansion in the key North American market requires help from a strategic partner", he says, going on to add that "the opportunity to enhance our service to our existing clients, to access new clients, and to develop new services with The M&P Lab, is a true win-win situation for all concerned".

Niko V. Gjaja, the President of The M&P Lab, is equally delighted with this development and the opportunities it brings for the company. "This is an important development in the next phase of strategic evolution of The M&P Lab", he says, going on to add that "this is a tremendous opportunity to broaden the reach of our existing services, develop new services for the combined client bases, and to enhance our capabilities in relation to ceramic-based materials".
