Tell us about the company and why you are attending ACHEMA 2018?
H.C. Starck Ceramics in Selb/Germany is a leading producer of advanced technical ceramic powders and parts with specialist know-how in engineering and manufacturing of high-end complex parts in small series production. Our company is one of only a few vertically integrated producers offering ceramics from state-of-the-art non-oxide (carbides, nitrides and aluminium titanite) and oxide (aluminium oxide and zirconium oxide) materials, out of one production site.
At ACHEMA we want to welcome representatives of different industries and companies to our world of advanced ceramics. Furthermore, the ACHEMA is the perfect venue to highlight the opportunities of advanced ceramic solutions for their success.
What products are you highlighting at ACHEMA 2018?
Our highlight is not a special product, it’s more our special materials: advanced ceramics, from which our customized products are made and our production capabilities for complex designs.
Wherever particularly extreme requirements prevail, e.g. in the chemical industry or pharmacy, our material convinces by its extreme corrosion resistance to support different requirements and customer.
What makes this product different from anything else on the market?
In many cases, due to their high corrosion, abrasion and temperature resistance technical ceramics provide solutions and enable further enhancements there where the metals fail.
Highest material uniformity and quality standards required for sophisticated applications stand at the center of every product solution. We develop products in a joint engineering approach with customers, taking into account individual requirements and specifications. As a result, H.C. Starck Ceramics has built up comprehensive engineering expertise and strong customer relationships over the last years.
