Owens Corning and Saint Gobain to Form Glass Fibre Joint Venture - News Item

Owens Corning and Saint Gobain have announced that they intend to form a 50/50 joint venture to build a state of the art glass fibre producing factory in response to the growing composites market. Production is scheduled to begin in late 2004.

Materials produced from the plant will be sold equally through each company’s sales networks.

The new plant will benefit from the expertise and technology that both parties bring to the table.
