During Lab Innovations 2021, AZoNetwork caught up with Sales Manager, Sean Ogborne from PROCENTEC for a quick chat about the products they were exhibiting and also the challenges they had faced over the last 12-months.
PROCENTEC is an independent Dutch company that supplies innovative solutions, training and consultancy to the Industrial Automation Market. Of primary focus is the development and manufacturing of automation products for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, Industrial Ethernet and Ethernet/IP.

What brings you to Lab Innovations today?
This is actually our first expo in the UK and one we feel that we very much fit into with our product range. We’ve been able to meet with a lot of our target market so far.
What are you exhibiting at the event?
We are displaying the network that you would see on a typical site with our permanent monitoring solution for industrial ethernet. It has a built-in web page and it uses the built-in software called Osiris which gives you a complete overview of your network and anything that can go wrong. You can view things like device details and if there were any dropped packets on the network. Basically what we're trying to do is prevent downtime in the industry because downtime costs money!

Who are your customers?
We deal a lot in the material handling and logistics industry as well as the water industry in the UK but it certainly isn’t limited to those industries. Anyone who uses any of the protocols mentioned above would benefit from our products.
What have been your main challenges over the last 12-months?
The nature of our industry means that it is difficult to not be face-to-face with clients because we need to get onsite to demonstrate our products. But like everyone, we’ve had to pivot to remote demonstrations and we’ve made those work for us.
What about the next 12-months?
Get out there. Visit as many sites as we can, speak to as many customers as we can and keep on moving forward.
