Introduction

Pure copper has good electrical and thermal conductivity. More than 400 varieties of copper alloys are available. Alloys can be freely formed by copper than by most metals.

Machinability

The machinability rating of UNS C92200 copper alloy is 42.

Welding

UNS C92200 copper alloy can be welded using brazing and soldering processes. Carbon arc welding, oxyacetylene welding, coated metal arc welding, and gas shielded arc welding methods are not used for welding this alloy.

Heat Treatment

UNS C92200 copper alloy can be stress relieved at 260°C (500°F). The time taken for stress relieving is about 1 hr/ in. of section thickness. It does not respond to heat treatment.
