Urea Formaldehyde - UF Urea

Advantages

Cheaper than Melamine and processed at a lower temperature.  Easily coloured.  Good solvent resistance.

Disadvantages

Electrical properties affected by damp (more than Melamine).  Lower heat resistance than Melamine.

Applications

Electrical plugs and terminals, buttons, adhesives, binders, toilet seats, bottle caps, knobs, handles. Foams for insulation panels. Impregnated with paraffin for fire-lighters. Flower arranging blocks.
