Introduction
Magnesium is a silvery-white metal that is used as an alloy element for lead, aluminum, zinc, and other non-ferrous alloys. Magnesium alloys have high impact resistance, low inertia, and good damping capacity. They are designated using the ASTM and SAE system in which the first part indicates the two main alloying elements in the alloy and the second part represents their percentages.
The following datasheet gives an overview of magnesium ZE41A-T5 alloy.
