Introduction

Magnesium is a silvery white metal that is abundantly available in earth’s crust. It is easily ignitable in nitrogen and carbon dioxide environments. Aluminum, nickel, copper and zinc are some of the metals with which it is commonly alloyed.

Magnesium AZ80A-T5 is an extruded alloy, similar in features to AZ61A-F but is superior to it in strength. This datasheet will elaborate on the properties and applications of this alloy.
