Introduction
INCONEL alloy 603XL is a nickel-chromium alloy with the addition of molybdenum, silicon, and rare earth elements. The key characteristics of this alloy are its resistance to elevated temperature oxidation and nitridation.
INCONEL alloy 603XL is known to be resistant to oxide spalling thus making this alloy very useful in areas where oxide contamination cannot be tolerated such as electronics, ceramics, glass, and tableware industries.
The following sections will discuss in detail about super alloy INCONEL 603XL.
