Introduction

INCOLOY alloys are super austenitic stainless steels composed of nickel-iron and chromium. Corrosion resistance of the alloy can be enhanced and extended over a number of environments by adding metals like molybdenum, copper, nitrogen, etc. This alloy exhibits good strength over high temperatures.

INCOLOY alloy 803 is an alloy comprising of iron-nickel and chromium, with a high nickel and chromium content compared to other INCOLOY alloys. This alloy proves to be a cost effective alternative for replacing other alloys that are used in corrosive reducing, oxidizing and sulfidising environments. The alloy also exhibits good stress-rupture strength at high temperatures. Some of the standard forms of the alloy are pipes, welds, tubes, plate, strip, round, squares and forged fittings.

This datasheet will look into the chemical composition, properties and applications of INCOLOY 803.
