Background

Steve Pearton is Distinguished Professor and Alumni Chair of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Florida. He has a PhD in physics from the University of Tasmania and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, prior to working at AT&T Bell Laboratories from 1994 to 2004. He has published more than 1400 papers. He is a fellow of the IEEE, the American Vacuum Society, the Materials Research Society, the Electrochemical Society, the Minerals, Metal & Materials Society, and the American Physical Society.
