Colored Transparent Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Coatings

This paper reports on a sol–gel method for the deposition of red, green and blue PMMA-SiO₂ hybrid films on glass substrates. The colored hybrid films are composed of a homogeneous organic-inorganic matrix with the embedded organic dye molecules very well dispersed on it.

Research on processing â“i3N4 ceramics and their thermal conductivity are reviewed. Thermal conductivities are greatly affected by processing parameters such as purity of raw powders, type and amount of sintering aids, and forming as well as sintering conditions.

Geopolymers with the Potential for Use as Refractory Castables

A geopolymer was prepared by dissolving metakaolinite in a solution of K2SiO3 and KOH and curing at 80C for 24 h. The open porosity of the material was ~38% at 1000C, which is sufficiently porous for it to be used as a heat insulation material for continuous use at this temperature.
