LUMOS FTIR Microscope from Bruker Optics

This video shows Fred Morris, Business Development and Product Manager at Bruker Optics, who deals with the company's compact micro analysis and life science product line. Morris explains the functions of the fully automated standalone FTIR LUMOS microscope, Bruker’s most recent FTIR microscope launched in the market. This video focuses on a particular analysis in the pharmaceutical industry.

The LUMOS provides excellent performance for visual inspection and infrared spectral analysis of micro samples. It is compact and user-friendly and enables fully automated measurement in attenuated total reflection (ATR), transmission, and reflection mode. Other features include large working distance that provides sufficient space for sampling motorized ATR crystal, plus exceptional quality in both IR and VIS range. The advanced LUMOS FTIR microscope can be operated even by non-experts for routine applications, but thanks to its exceptional sensitivity it can also be used for high demanding applications.
