Intellection Win Prestigious Innovation Export Award

Intellection again found themselves in the company of winners such as Xstrata, Mincom, Runge and NOJA Power during The Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards 2007, winning the Dermot McManus Award for outstanding achievement in innovation and as finalists in two other categories.

Having been finalists in several categories over the in past years, it is no secret this award was earned through the determined efforts of Intellection’s dedicated stable of scientists, technicians, stakeholders and enthusiasts.

CEO Calvin Treacy said, “These awards are a great thing, because you are judged holistically, which is very gratifying. Our staff levels have increased from 18 in ‘04/05 to over 100 for ‘06/07. This boost was a contributing factor in our growth, which reflects an increase of 133% in the value of exports for 06/07.”

Intellection is seeing 58% export sales of total sales revenue which is expected to grow considerably each year as they gain a stronger foothold in North & South America, Russia, Canada, Peru, Brazil, Chile, India, NZ and Europe.

The revenue stream is derived through the sales of QEMSCAN® solutions and consulting services in the areas of exploration and research, primarily in mining and oil & gas sectors. The recent acquisition, by Intellection, of UK based XRD services company X-ray Mineral Services Ltd (XMS) will strengthen our presence in the UK and European region.”
