Goodrich and Turkish Technic Establish Joint Venture

Goodrich Corporation announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Turkish Technic, Inc. to establish a joint venture in Istanbul, Turkey to perform maintenance and repair work on nacelles. Under the terms of the MOU, the joint venture company - known as Goodrich HABOM - will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and rotable support for Turkish Airlines' fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Turkish Airlines, the national airline of Turkey, is one of the fastest growing carriers in Europe.

Goodrich HABOM anticipates opening a certified repair station at Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Istanbul in 2009. In addition to servicing the Turkish Airlines fleet, the planned 43,000-square-foot facility would also focus on MRO support for other carriers in Turkey and the neighboring region.

"Turkish Airlines is seeking the most effective maintenance solution for its rapidly growing fleet and we're extremely pleased to be a part of that solution," said Goodrich Aerostructures European Service Centers Managing Director Steve Callan. "We expect that creating a Goodrich-managed MRO facility in such close proximity to our customer will yield Turkish Airlines, as well as other carriers in the region, many benefits in terms of reduced costs and turnaround times."

"Turkish Technic is pleased to add one more capability to its wide range of MRO services by having a partnership with Goodrich," said Turkish Technic, Inc. General Manager and CEO Ismail Demir. "We are hopeful that this step will create many opportunities for both parties and customers as well."
