$2.2M Air Force Contract Goes to Lumera Corp.

Nanotechnology company Lumera Corp. said Thursday it received a U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory contract to make satellite and radar components.

The contract is worth $2.2 million.The components that Lumera (nasdaq: LMRA - news - people ) will fabricate for the Air Force are known as low driving voltage, electro-optic modulators and are used in optical communications networks. Shares rose 7 cents, or 3.7 percent, to $1.98 in morning trading.
