PolyOne to Promote Specialty Polymer Blends for the Healthcare Industry

At the Chinaplas 2010 show this week, PolyOne is featuring Trilliant HC specialty blends made with Eastman Tritan copolyester at booth W3D21. Developed specifically for the healthcare industry, these new blends offer improved chemical resistance, strength, durability, and hydrolytic stability. Additionally, Trilliant HC specialty blends made with Eastman Tritan copolyester are BPA-free.

Trilliant HC is the most recent outgrowth of PolyOne's focus on developing solutions for healthcare customers. This portfolio of compounds delivers outstanding performance characteristics while addressing specific healthcare application and regulatory requirements (USP Class VI, ISO 10993, FDA), and is produced according to the FDA's current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) for medical devices.

To further support healthcare customers, Trilliant HC formulations can be locked down (no material substitutions without prior notice), and are available in small lots. All pre-colored compounds include FDA-approved pigments.

These material solutions are complemented by PolyOne's service offering, with support provided to customers on material selection and a wide range of product characteristics, including recommended sterilization processes and chemical resistance profiles.
