On this page you can make requests for materials that are not part of the FCM catalog. You will also be able to request materials that others have posted to this page. By allowing multiple clients to request the same custom material this will enable FCM the opportunity to make larger batch sizes which will decrease the cost to you. This will also allow you to order smaller amounts than how custom material requests have been handled in the past. It is quite frustrating to have to order one kilogram of powder when you only need 100 grams, and then also having to properly dispose of the material. This leads to product waste as well as funding waste, which is in no ones best interest.
When you enter your request an email will be sent to FCM, whom will examine your request to ensure the material can be processed. Once approved a suitable batch size will be determined and the requested material will be listed. Other researchers and developers will be able to see these requested materials and if they meet their needs they will be able to request them as well. Once a posted material receives enough requests FCM will process a batch and deliver it to everyone requiring it.
