DAI Introduces First Alumina-Impregnated Textile Product Line

DAI launches its first alumina-enhanced textile product line designed for responding to disasters like cleaning up oil spills and providing superior protection against diseases like influenza.

Hobbs Bonded Fiber (Waco, TX) is working alongside DAI, impregnating the activated alumina into needle-punched woven substrates producing these innovative products.

Alumina-impregnated textile products being manufactured are Dyna-Swipe(TM), Dyna-Mask(TM) and Dyna-Aqua Oil Sorb(TM).

Dyna-Swipe(TM) is a highly absorbent wipe impregnated with Dyna-Cidal(TM), a patented anti-biocontaminant that has a kill rate of between 98 and 100%, the highest ever reported. This product is ideal for disinfecting surfaces in the healthcare, transportation, and food service industries.

"It's exciting to be recognized for our product superiority," said Dr. Moskovitz, DAI's President and Chief Technical Officer. "The alumina we manufacture is revolutionary and will change the way we protect ourselves and our environment."

Dyna-Mask(TM), a polyester-based mask impregnated with Dyna-Cidal(TM), has the highest protection rate against respiratory pathogens and bioterrorism threats such as anthrax.

DAI is also releasing Dyna-Aqua Oil Sorb(TM), a product that binds up to three gallons of oil for every pound of alumina-impregnated cotton, superior to any other method on the marketplace.

The company is working on expanding its textile line to reduce the harmful effects of environmental disasters, health and bioterrorism threats.
