Some of the largest cement manufacturers in Russia are Eurocement Group and "Siberian cement" - as domestic companies. The leading foreign manufacturers of cement in the Russian market are represented by the companies Lafarge, Holcim, Heidelberg, etc.
The average manufacturers price in 2009 and the average acquisition price both follow similar trends - a long period of growth until August 2008. From this month on, a steady decline in price, continuing in the first quarter of 2010.
Looking at the data month-by-month, no particular pattern in the dynamics can be seen. Among the countries, manufacturing cement, the largest share in quantity % goes to Turkey. In 2009, the company that produced the biggest quantities of cement, imported in Russia, was the Turkish company Unye Cemento which is equal to a share of imports. When analyzing the Russian companies, importing cement, it can be easily notified, that there is one very strong market leader - LLC Field.
Looking at the dynamics month-by-month, it can be observed that there is a stable upwards trend in the first half of the year, reaching its peak in July, when starts a downwards trend which reaches its lowest point in November. The country which receives most of the Russian cement is Kazakhstan. OJSC "NTSZ" is the company, which produced most cement for export in 2009.
