Universal Display Corporation (NASDAQ:PANL), enabling energy-efficient displays and lighting with its UniversalPHOLED® technology and materials, today announced that the company will be exhibiting at FPD International 2010 and Green Device 2010, a comprehensive exhibition and conference of the latest in flat panel display technologies and in ‘green’ technologies that support a low-carbon society of tomorrow.

The event is being held November 10-12, 2010 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, Japan. The company will be located at Booth # 6913.

Universal Display will showcase a variety of OLED technology prototypes and product concepts to highlight the performance benefits of its phosphorescent and other proprietary OLED technologies for use in OLED displays and white OLED lighting. The company will also highlight recent advances in its PHOLED technology and materials, including recently-announced progress in its solution-processible, UniversalP2OLED material systems. In addition, the company will feature its new light-blue PHOLED material system that enables a new, four-subpixel OLED display architecture and provides significant performance enhancements for white OLED lighting.

“Recent advances in PHOLED technology, and the growth of the OLED display and lighting markets have set the stage for a compelling FPD and Green Device event this year,” said Steven V. Abramson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Display. “Universal Display continues to drive performance gains and other innovations for use in active-matrix OLED displays and white OLED lighting applications, and we look forward to sharing with the industry the latest developments in our proprietary PHOLED technologies and materials.”

The company’s UniversalPHOLED technology and materials can be found in a variety of cell phones, multi-media players and other display devices already on the market, and are believed to be critical for the development of energy-efficient, white OLED lighting products. As a leading OLED technology developer, Universal Display currently owns or has exclusive, co-exclusive or sole license rights with respect to more than 1,000 issued and pending patents worldwide. The company offers these proprietary technologies to OLED display and white lighting manufacturers through technology licensing, UniversalPHOLED materials sales, technology development and technology transfer services.
