Nextlife to Supply Post-Consumer Recycled Polypropylene Resin to Preserve

Nextlife partners with Preserve, a sustainable products producer, to supply FDA approved polypropylene (PP) resins that are 100% post-consumer recycled to Preserve. Preserve has selected Nextlife’s recycled plastic resins to deliver stylish and light weight products to consumers such as tableware, personal care, food storage and kitchen products.

Nextlife employs proprietary processes such as sorting, washing and extruding to produce recycled PP resins from plastic waste. These resins blended with virgin food grade resins are used to develop molded products like cutlery, cups, plates, houseware accessories and storage containers. Post-consumer recycled resins from Nextlife are FDA approved for food contact use.

Recycled food grade plastic resin provides several advantages in terms of quality, price and consistency compared to virgin resin. Hence, Nextlife’s CEO and president comments Preserve as a great partner to exhibit benefits of their sustainable materials to the world.

Preserve and Nextlife will jointly present recycled resin-based sustainable products at the International Housewares Show, which is to be held from March 6 to 8, 2011 in Chicago, Illinois.
