Behr Process, a supplier of paint and coatings, has announced that two of its paint products have met the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) guidelines. The institute has set the GEI guidelines as part of its Indoor Air Quality and Children & School Certification programs.
Behr premium plus ultra and premium plus interior paints, including Behr premium plus exterior/interior high enamel series were recently certified. The products, which received the GREENGUARD Certification, meet GEI’s strict chemical emission standards in order to help clients create healthier indoor air quality in their business and home environment.
The low-chemical emissions products of Behr meet both the GREENGUARD Children & Schools as well as GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality standards, help reduce the emission of indoor pollutants into the air, and create healthier indoor-living environments. According to The America Lung Association, the World Health Organization and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the greatest hazards to human health is indoor pollution.
